Abstract: 

In the case of noncircular journal bearings, as opposed to circular journal bearings, the orientation of bearing with respect to a given load direction can be a design parameter. This orientation may be defined in terms of an ANGLE, which in the present work is being referred to as the MOUNT ANGLE. The purpose of the work presented in this paper is to study the effect of the MOUNT ANGLE on the theoretical static and dynamic characteristics of three types of gas-lubricated noncircular bearings. It is found that the effect of the MOUNT ANGLE happens to be more pronounced at low compressibility numbers. Also, among the three types of bearings, the effect of the MOUNT ANGLE is more significant in two lobe bearings in comparison to the three and four lobe bearings.

Abstract: 

آزمایش های طیف سنجی گاما برای اندازه گیری فعالیت هسته های گامازا در نمونه های محیطی و صنعتی انجام می شوند. با توجه به تعدد نمونه ها (از لحاظ شکل هندسی، ترکیبات و غیره)، نمونه های استاندارد متعددی مورد نیاز است. در بیش تر مواقع تهیه مرجع گران و بعضا دست نیافتنی است. بنابراین، یک روش محاسباتی جایگزین برای محاسبه بازده دستگاه طیف سنجی گاما بیش تر احساس می شود. در این مقاله، ابتدا بازده تجربی چشمه های نقطه ای استاندارد توسط یک آشکارساز HPGe اندازه گیری شده است. سپس، بر اساس نمودار بازده تجربی یاد شده کالیبراسیون (درجه بندی) بازده آشکارساز HPGe برای نمونه های مختلف با استفاده از کد محاسباتی ANGLE بدست آمده اند. نتایج حاصل از شبیه سازی با نتایج تجربی مقایسه شده اند.

Abstract: 

A small town by the name of Salmas to the north west of Iran sinks into the earth as the result of devastating earthquake in 1930. There remains only one young man on the outskirts of the city. His name is Yoosef. In his desolation he remembers a schoolmate and a close friend who lives in Yerevan of Armenia. Her name is Loosick. He goes and finds her and makes plans for a union and married life. But this is impossible since Loosick is Armenian (Christian) and he is Muslim. In a short time, her parents decision leaves Loosick in the hands of an unwanted husband. Yoosef is therefore left once more alone and is nervous and anxious remembering the loss and the tremors of the lands. He decides to go and climb MOUNT Ararat and pay homage to the ark of Noah. He manages to climb but cannot reach to the peaks where the ark rests. Very tired, hungry and exhausted he falls down in the pitchy darkness of the night. He has a tulip in his hands, smile on his face and remains with splayed legs as a sign of infinite immensity and a victorious departure.

Abstract: 

The problem of historical geography and extent of Median territory in Neo-Assyrian period, from 9th to 7th centuries B.C. has always made dissensions. Given the extent of Median territory in Achaemenid and Parthian periods, early historians and Assyriologists in the late 19th and early 20th centuries considered Median realm extending from Zagros MOUNTains to central plateau of Iran. From 1970s onwards, however, a new minimalistic approach to the historical geography of Neo-Assyrian Zagros has appeared and proposed a large Median territory than previously assumed and located Media on the western flanks of Alvand MOUNTain ranges. The advocates of this minimalistic approach have put limits on the extent of Assyrian dominance in Iran and consider the Alvand as the last spot of Assyrian Armies’ penetration to the east. The present study deals with assessing these contradictory assumptions. We also try to determine the Median boarders and also try to locate the main regions and cities of Media based on the Assyrian written sources.

Abstract: 

The study area, MOUNT Soffeh in Isfahan, with an elevation range of 1700 to 2250 m, is situated at the southernmost tip of Isfahan city, making it one of the most significant MOUNTains in Isfahan. This research aimed to discover the botanical diversity and floristic composition of this MOUNTain. Accordingly, plant specimens were collected from various regions of MOUNT Soffeh during the growing season, from March 2021 to December 2023. According to this study, a total of 258 species were identified, belonging to 189 genera and 46 families. The largest identified families in the area, in order, include: Asteraceae with 57 species, Poaceae with 24 species, Brassicaceae with 18 species, Amaranthaceae with 15 species, Fabaceae with 15 species, Lamiaceae with 15 species, Boraginaceae with 13 species, Apiaceae with 11 species, and Caryophyllaceae with 8 species. The flora comprises 40 dicotyledon families, 4 monocotyledon families, one gymnosperm family, and one pteridophyte family. The life forms, according to the Raunkiaer system, include 37.2% Therophytes, 35.27% Hemicryptophytes, 16.27% Chamaephytes, 5.03% Phanerophytes, 5.41% Cryptophytes (Geophytes and Helophytes), and 0.77% Parasites. Furthermore, in terms of geographical distribution, 45.34% of the plants in this area are related to the Irano-Turanian area, with the rest belonging to two or more geographical points. Forty-four species are also endemic or sub-endemic to Iran. Our research represents a significant leap in understanding the botanical diversity of MOUNT Soffeh. While historical records documented approximately 100 species on MOUNT Soffeh until 2021, our study exposes a notable increase, with over 250 species identified. Particularly significant is the discovery of about 190 taxa reported for the first time on MOUNT Soffeh, emphasizing the importance of ongoing botanical exploration in the region. Additionally, we report the first documentation of Tanacetum stapfianum (Rech.f.) Podlech in Isfahan province and specifically on MOUNT Soffeh, expanding our knowledge of the regional flora. Despite the absence of grazing, MOUNT Soffeh faces threats from tourism, climbing, and infrastructure development such as roads and cable cars, endangering its delicate ecosystem and species diversity. Conservation measures are essential for the protection of MOUNT Soffeh's botanical richness for the future.

Abstract: 

سابقه و هدف: تشخیص آلودگیهای انگلی با روش مناسب، ارزان، بی خطر و با قدرت تشخیص خوب همیشه مورد توجه متخصصین امر بوده است. در این بررسی توانایی روش های Wet MOUNT، Formalin acetone و Formalin ether در تشخیص عفونت های انگلی روده ای مطالعه شد.روش کار: از نمونه مدفوع فاقد آلودگی به انگل، با فرمالین %10 سوسپانسیونی تهیه و پس از خوب مخلوط کردن به شش قسمت مساوی در شش ظرف جداگانه تقسیم شد. یکی از این سوسپانسیونها نمونه مدفوعی بدون آلودگی و هر یک از پنج ظرف دیگر به صورت مجزا با تخم و یا کیست یک گونه از انگلهای شایعتر روده انسان آلوده شدند. از سوسپانسیون های با و بدون آلودگی به انگلهای روده ای در مجموع 600 لام با سه روش Wet MOUNT، Formalin acetone و Formalin ether بررسی شد. این لامها در هر سه روش مذکور، از نظر وجود یا عدم وجود انگلهای روده ای توسط یک نفر از همکاران مورد بررسی قرار گرفت که از ماهیت و روش آزمایش بکار برده شده برای نمونه ها و همچنین آلوده یا غیر آلوده بدون نمونه ها اطلاع نداشت. به منظور ارزیابی حساسیت، اختصاصیت، ارزش اخباری مثبت و یا منفی، میزان خطای مثبت و یا منفی کاذب هر روش، نتایج تعداد لام های با و بدون آلودگی مورد مقایسه قرار گرفته است.یافته ها: شش صد لام نمونه مدفوع شامل 150 لام تهیه شده از نمونه های بدون آلودگی (هر روش 50 لام) و 450 لام تهیه شده از نمونه های با آلودگی به انگلهای روده ای (هر روش 150 لام) با سه روش Wet MOUNT، Formalin acetone و Formalin ether بررسی شد. حساسیت این سه روش برای تشخیص انگلهای روده ای، در مجموع، به ترتیب 32، 73.3 و 64.7 درصد؛ ارزش اخباری منفی آنها به ترتیب 32.9، 55.6 و 48.5 درصد و میزان خطای منفی کاذب به ترتیب 68، 26.7 و 35.3 درصد محاسبه شد. با توجه به اینکه از لام های غیر آلوده، هیچ موردی با سه روش بالا برای هیچکدام از انگلهای روده ای مورد مطالعه مثبت گزارش نشد بنابراین اخصاصیت و ارزش اخباری مثبت هر سه روش برای تشخیص هر کدام از انگل های روده ای مورد مطالعه %100 محاسبه شد.نتیجه گیری: در حال حاضر فرمالین – اتر روش تغلیظی مناسب و انتخابی جهت تشخیص انگلهای روده ای معرفی شده است. در این مطالعه، توانایی تشخیص نمونه های آلوده به انگلهای روده ای در روشهای فرمالین – استون و فرمالین – اتر به ترتیب 110 و 97 مورد از 150 نمونه بوده است. بنابراین، روش فرمالین – استون از نظر قدرت تغلیظ و تشخیص با روش فرمالین – اتر مشابه و یا یکسان است و همچنین پایداری بیشتر، قابلیت اشتعال کمتر، قیمت ارزانتر و خطر کمتر استون نسبت به اتر سبب می شود که روش فرمالین – استون روش ارجح باشد. ارزیابی میدانی روش فرمالین – استون نسبت به فرمالین – اتر در تشخیص انگلهای روده ای را پیشنهاد می نماید.

Abstract: 

Aim and Background: whole-MOUNT in situ hybridization (wmISH) is a powerful tool to visualize the gene transcript in embryonic tissue. This study aimed at setting up wmISH using digoxygenine-labled RALDH2 antisense riboprobe.Methods & Materials: The early developing chick embryos were fixed and dehydrated upon dissecting. Following bleaching and protein kinase K treatment, the embryos were hybridized with hybridization buffer and then with the buffer containing RALDH2 antisense riboprobe for 36h. Upon washing with SSC solution and incubation with anti-digoxygenin Ab, the embryos were treated with NBT/BCIP and transferred to NTMT buffer. Some embryos received sense ribobrobe and negative control was considered as a group not treated with any riboprobes.Results: Following binding the antisense riboprobe to RALDH2 transcript, blue color appeared in somites and neural tube as well as the cardiac tube. No color was detected in the embryonic tissue treated with the sense riboprobe or in untreated group.Conclusion: Using wmISH, we can precisely detect location and rate of the gene transcription in the developing embryo.
